Between Jan 20 and 25, the environment ministers of India, South Africa, Brazil and China would meet to hold talks on their climate change plans following previous month’s Copenhagen summit.
Jairam Ramesh, the Environment Minister of India, said the ministers would talk about the ways to implement negotiations of the Copenhagen Accord that the member countries of BASIC bloc including India, South Africa, Brazil and China had made with the US in the summit.
By January 31, all the countries will be submitting their views on the signing of the agreement and about the action plan for developed and large developing economies to cut greenhouse gas emissions that are causing global warming.
