Centre for Trade and Development (Centad) is an independent, registered, not-for-profit and pan-asian organisation based in New Delhi. It works on pro-poor policies with a belief that cogent research and advocacy can bring changes in the policies at national and regional level which change people lives and lift millions out of poverty. Its mission is to strengthen ability of Governments and empower communities to make trade and globalization work for development.
Current focus of the centre is on following areas :

- Agriculture
- Public Health
- Climate Change
- Human Development
- Finance
Internship Programme is offered to students, with a view to promoting a better understanding of trade and development issues and giving them insight into how Centad attempts to find solutions to these problems. The programme usually takes place twice in a year i.e. during summer and winter breaks for a minimum of one month and for a maximum of Six weeks. If the students gets selected for the programme, all costs connected with internships must be borne by the students concerned or by their sponsoring institutions. Centad will pay them small internship fee as a token of appreciation and a certificate based on their qualification and performance.

- IPR and Access
- Regulation and Access
- Industry and Access
- Adaptation, Technology Transfer and Environmental issues of climate change
- Global Economic crisis
- Human Development issues including gender.
- Trade and Agriculture issues.
How to Apply?
Centad offers internship to the following eligible students who are,
- Pursuing LLM/LLB from a reputed Law Universities
- Who are post graduate students of Economics from reputed institutions at the time of application
- Students who are pursueing Masters programme in Public health, Bio-Technology and Social Work at the time of applying.
Students apply for internship through their Universities or directly and should fill in the internship application form attached herewith along with an introduction letter from your university and return it to us at least two months prior to the proposed starting date of the internship.

Send your application through e mail (internship@centad.org) or by post or courier at the following address along with your curriculum vitae and writing sample. If your application be incomplete, we may not be in a position to grant you an internship.
After screening of applications Centad will only intimate to those students who are short listed.
