Licensing procedures: Under GATS, administrative or procedural rules that a natural or juridical person seeking authorisation to supply a service, including the amendment or renewal of a licence, must adhere to in order to demonstrate compliance with the licensing requirements of a country (where the service is to be provided).

Licensing requirements: Substantive requirements, other than qualification requirements, with which a natural or juridical person is required to comply in order to obtain, amend, or renew authorisation to supply a service under GATS.

Linear method of tariff reduction: Basis of the Uruguay Round formula, it calls for an average overall reduction in tariff rates with a minimum cut per tariff line; does not lead to steep reduction in tariffs.

Loan conditionality: Conditions a country has to fulfil if it wants IMF/WB aid.
