Centre for Trade and
Development
(Centad) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that seeks to
strengthen the ability of governments and communities in South Asia
to make international trade and globalisation work for development.
It strives to undertake accurate and real time analysis, articulate
cogent policy advice to the governments and build the capacity of all
relevant stakeholders. South Asia Yearbook and Trading Up Quarterly
Magazine are its flagship products that are widely acclaimed. It
organises consultation and conferences for informed policy making at
multilateral, regional, national and sub-national levels. Centad is
currently looking for a suitable candidate for the post of Programme
Assistant.
Location:
New Delhi
Duration of
Assignment: Six
Months
Salary:
10,000-15,000 pm
Key
Responsibilities
-
Assist in organising
meetings, conferences/workshops by providing logistic support and
regular following up with the potential participants
-
Coordinate for making
suitable and efficient travel arrangements, including hotel bookings
for local, national and international travel and be responsible for all
other travel related paper work
-
Liaison with the travel
agent for visas and other travel related documents for international
participants
-
Handle other logistics
related to the events organised by the organisation
-
Update the database for
dispatching the recent publications of the organisation
-
Provide support for
outreach by working with other team members
Skills and
Competence
-
Should at least be a
graduate with basic computer literacy
-
Substantial experience
of at least one year of providing such support in a medium sized
organisation
-
Working knowledge of
computer systems, including MS Office, Excel and other related software
-
Good interpersonal
skills and the ability to work as a team member
-
Effective communication
skills
-
Good working knowledge
in English and Hindi
-
Proven ability to work
well on deadline and perform well under pressure, along with an ability
to set priorities
-
Ability to work well as
part of a multicultural team
