Applications invited for post of Executive Director

The Centre for Trade and Development (Centad), an independent, not-for-profit organisation, seeks to strengthen the ability of governments and communities in South Asia to make international trade and globalisation work for development. It strives to undertake accurate and real-time analysis, promote better policies through policy research and provides a platform for more informed policy-making at multilateral, regional national and sub-national levels. Through its policy research, the Centre attempts to critically understand and articulate debates around international trade rules and their impact on development.
Centad is currently looking for a suitable candidate for the post of Executive Director. 

Location: New Delhi
                                                                   
Salary: Comparable to the best in this sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall responsibility for developing and managing the Centre. This would include a strategic mix of activities such as – programme development, goal setting, resource mobilisation, campaign coordination, people management, advisory functions, and managing relationships with key stakeholders and monitoring performance.
  • Plan and implement fund raising strategies, manage donor relationships, ensure proper reporting and accountability to donors.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the programme by efficiently managing the team and the day-to-day operations of the office.
  • Ensure development and implementation of the Centre’s policies and procedures, including HR, Finance, Internal/External reporting requirements and compliance to statutory and legal requirements.
  • Respond to external queries from stakeholders and prepare high quality reports including for internal reporting.
  • Manage the Centre’s finance and assets in the most cost effective manner.
  • Ensure that the Centre’s policies and procedures are sensitive to gender and diversity issues.
